[os171] Ulasan 2 - Permasalahan pada Process Synchronization

RINGKASAN
video menjelaskan tentang permasalahan klasik ketika ada dua orang yang akan melakukan writing dan reading pada file yang sama akan terjadi beberapa masalah yang terjadi. Karena dua proses (writing dan reading) tidak bisa dilakukan secara bersamaan. an akan terjadi crash. Diakhir video David memberikan ulasan bagaimana kita menanggulangi masalah diatas.
Lalu video menjelaskan tentang bagaimana solusi yang seharusnya dilakukan dengan menggunakan fungsi wait(mutex). Namun solusi ini hanya mengijinkan satu reader atau satu writer untuk mengakses satu resource yang sama. Solusi kedua adalah readers dapat mengakses secara simultan resource yang ada, sehingga ada kemungkinan readers dapat mengakses satu resource bersamaan. Video juga menjelaskan bagaimana kode program yang seharusnya ditulis untuk memberikan solusi.

PENDAPAT
video yang menarik membahas tentang bagaimana suatu file yang sedang diakses oleh lebih dari satu reader atau writer. Sehingga memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana semaphore bekerja. Vide dilengkapi dengan kode program yang sangat mudah dipahami.
